Make pyCameras accessible on GitHub
So @melchert and I talked about making pyCameras accessible on GitHub. I believe it would only be fair to show others how we use their camera libraries and might lead to some interest and perhaps input from the outside. The question is, if and how we should do this...
I would like it if everyone who is currently involved in the development gives their opinion on the idea. Publishing the repository on GitHub would mean that your contribution is published alongside with it, containing your name and the email address you provided for git (probably @imr.uni-hannover.de).
If we decide to do this the other question is how ownership of the project would be handled. We could either let one person (some main contributor/decision maker) handle the repository under their name, giving others access, or we could set up an organization account. That account would run under the name of the institute and all contributors could be added as members of that organization. This would in my mind require approval by Prof. Reithmeier before we create that account.
Either way I think we would have to speak to Prof. Reithmeier about this since we created the code here during work hours, meaning it is in some sense property of the institute. I would be willing to do that in our name, should we decide to put everything on github.
So: comments and suggestions please. What do you think of the idea? @melchert @betker @quentin @beermann @middendorf @bossemeyer If I missed anyone please mention them so they get notified...
